12503. (view booklet) CHEQUESSET INN AND COTTAGES, Wellfleet, Cape Cod, Massachusetts by Fred T. Organ, Manager c.1910. 16p. Soft wraps. Lovely 16 page booklet promoting the Chequesset Inn and Cottages, Wellfleet, Cape Cod, Massachusetts, was issued by the manager, Fred T. Organ. The Chequesset Inn was built on a pier directly over the waters of Wellfleet Bay. The booklet features photo illustrations of the inn and its interior, and illustrations of the cottages, of the nearby Marconi wireless station, Cahoon’s Hollow Life-Saving station, and a view of Village Street, Wellfleet. The paper bound booklet measures 4” x 6” and is in very good, clean condition, almost as new. There is a note in ink on the inside front cover by a visitor who seems upset that her stay has ended. She writes: “This is where I am staying. We are going home now. Oh! Dear. Laura”. Rare, bright, near fine Wellfleet piece. (F-). $144.
