Clear, close original 7” x 10” press photo shows great detail of the Coast Guard Buoy Tender Violet working buoys along the mid-Atlantic coastal area. The Violet was the lead ship of the class, built to replace the LHT Holly. She was decommissioned and sold in 1962. Photo is b/w and includes credit line and description on back. Dated January 17, 1951. Clear and close view. (VG+). $34.
