29179b. (negative) U.S. Coast Guard Station, Manomet Point , Mass. c.1940. Clear close negative captures the 1901 Duluth-Type life-saving station at the end of the roadway. Includes a good view of the beach erosion as it nears the buildings. In 1928, the station surfboat was tossed end over end with the loss of Keeper William Cashman and surfmen Griswols and Stark while attempting to rescue the crew from the “Robert E. Lee”. Large image measures 4” x 5” and is clear and close. Would provide a great clear image. (VG+). $18.
