Clear, close original 7” x 9” press photo shows great detail of the cutter Golden Gate as she is given an “honorable discharge after 50 years of service. She was built in 1896 and was a veteran of three wars as well as the San Francisco fire and earthquake of 1906. She was officially decommissioned at Government Island, Alameda, California. Photo is b/w and includes date and description on back. Clear and close view. Dated November 19, 1945. (VG+). $36.
