21429f. (souvenir cup/saucer/mug) c.1900. Most unusual set features Sankaty Head Lighthouse and the Old Windmill, Nantucket on a large mug and cup/saucer combination. Early set is quite large and enhanced by cobalt blue borders with gilt decoration throughout. Large mug features a detailed b/w image of “Sankaty Light, Siasconset, Mass”. Large cup likewise features a detailed b/w image of the “Old Windmill Built 1746, Nantucket, Mass.” The mug measures 3 5/8” high by 3 ½” in diameter. Mug measures 3 1/8” high by 3 ¼” in diameter. Saucer measures 6 1/8” in diameter. Marked “Germany”. All are clean, a few original manufacturing marks, no chips or cracks. An unusually large, bold set for display and an exceptionally rare form. (VG+). $445 set.
