9484J. (souvenir cup / saucer) Chatham Twin Lights, Chatham, Mass. c.1900. A bold, bright, gilt decorated commemorative cup and saucer with sea green highlights, features a large and quite detailed, clear b/w image of the twin “Chatham Lights”, Chatham, Mass. on the cup. The superb cup measures 2” high and the saucer 4 3/8” in diameter and is enhanced by a beautiful light green interior color with decorative gilt trim on the handle and on the rim. The unusually detailed image includes all aspects of the two iron light towers and the clipped-gable keeper’s dwelling. Marked “Made in Germany for Josiah M. Rogers, Chatham, Mass.” Very clean, no cracks or checks, little if any wear. A very detailed, pretty set for your display. Chatham lighthouse china pieces are quite rare and in great demand. Unusually attractive piece. (VG+). $74.
