1380. (souvenir bowl) c.1898. “Quonochontaug, Rhode Island Life Saving Station”.

1380. (souvenir bowl) c.1898. Most unusual piece measures a full 10” in diameter by 2 ½” high, and features a lovely large hand painted image of the “Quonochontaug, Rhode Island Life Saving Station”. This nicely detailed large piece shows a good view of the distinctive station and boat ramp, flag mast and out-buildings. This early piece is quite distinctive and the largest that I have ever had. It is enhanced by a hand painted rose floral decoration with a gilt decorated on light green rim. Not marked, thus prior to 1898. Clean, bright, no chips or cracks, as nice as we have yet had. An unusually bright, bold piece for display and an exceptionally rare form. (F-). $385.
