This Special Updated Edition also includes 26 page addendum chronicling 1944’s gales and disasters. Illustrated with over 40 b/w photos. Well written account of the many shipwrecks and sea disasters off the New England coast, including the Minot ’s Light Storm, The Portland Gale, the story of the Somerset , Cape Cod and Nantucket shipwrecks, and so much more. As always, includes many accounts of lighthouse and life-saving personnel and operations – Most interesting and quite difficult to find now. Overall clean, tight, in worn dj, some fading to spine, some toning to pages. Some ink enhancement to image on dj. (VG). $138.
