10153b. (Receipt For Supplies Form) Nobsque [Nobska] Point Light Station, Woods Hole, Cape Cod c.1860. Original receipt for payment for supplies is signed in hand by Braddock Gifford for supplies for work at the lighthouse at Nobsque Point in Falmouth. Dated October 16, 1860, form lists supplies obtained for the light station in the amount of $3.33. Includes signature of Charles N. Turnball, Engineer, 1st & 2nd Light House District. This rare document measures 8 ¼” x 7” and is overall clean with one original fold, very little toning or edge wear. Superb early piece on this interesting light station would make an exceptional addition to any collection or display. (VG+). $88.
