12510d. (photo) Nauset Beach “Three Sisters” Lighthouses, Eastham, Mass. c.1912. This rare photo features a close image of the Keeper’s house and light tower at about 1912 when the central tower was moved and attached to the new Keeper’s house. In 1873 new 4th order Fresnel lenses replaced the 6th order lenses and an Assistant Keeper was added. He lived with the Principal Keeper in the 1838 brick house for a time until in 1875 the new Principal Keeper’s house was built. Keeper Lewis served at Nauset Lights from 1883 until 1914 and was probably serving there when this photo was taken. Measurements 2 ¾” x 4 ½”. Clean, crisp. Rare early view. (VG+). $48.
