1050. (mounted view) Attleboro Cottage, 11 Lake Avenue, Cottage City, Martha’s Vineyard by Baldwin Coolidge, Photographer c.1890 – 1900. Early view by this renown photographer of the charming Victorian Attleboro Cottage as guests pose on the verandah for the camera. At the turn of the century, Mrs. I. W. Babcock was the proprietor of this pleasantly located establishment, offering rooms facing the harbor for $7 to $10 per week. Nicely composed, this rare scene measures 7 ½” x 9 ¾” on 10” x 12” mount. Photo is close and clear, just a hint of soiling. Blind stamped Baldwin Coolidge, Tremont Street, Boston with his image #2084. Mount has some foxing and hint of soiling. (VG+). $225.
