1504. (lot 6 photos) Lighthouse Service & Coast Guard Buoy Tenders c.1939-1940. Rare lot of six snapshot photos show lighthouse and buoy tenders in the mid-Atlantic area c.1939-1940. In one photo during the Lighthouse Service era it appears that the District Superintendent’s flag is flying from the mast. Other photos include deck views, lifeboat, buoys and more. One photo is labeled Arbutus and some are dated 1940, 1947, etc. Some locations include Delaware Bay and Edgemore, Del. Most 2 ¾” x 4 ¼”. Rare views. $48.
