13141. (lot 5 photos) Cahoons Hollow Life-Saving / Coast Guard Station c.1980. Lot of five b/w photos show the old Cahoons Hollow Life-Saving / Coast Guard Station as it looked in 1980. Located on Cahoon Hollow Road in Wellfleet, the station served from about 1872 until it was abandoned by the Government in 1950. Originally built of the 1871 Red House design, the station was expanded in 1888. In 1953 the station was sold by the government and served various businesses until 1978, when it became The Beachcomber Restaurant and Nightclub and remains today a summer hot-spot. Nice clear views. 3 ½” x 5”. Dated November 1980. (VG+). $26.
