13323. (dresser tray) Indian River Life-Saving Station Est. 1876 by Pewtarex. Quite nice oval souvenir plate with scalloped edge featuring Indian River Life-Saving Station in bold relief. The center of the plate has a raised scene of the 1876 life-saving station in good detail. The back is marked Olde Country Reproductions, Pewtarex. York, Pennsylvania. This is a nice heavy piece and would look great on display. Price is for one, a total of 6 are available. The plate measures 7 3/8 in. by 10 5/8 in. Pewtarex is a sand casting made by pouring molten metal into an impression made in sand, and finished with a hand polishing. Every time a completed object is removed, its sand mold is detroyed in the process. Consequently, each piece is an original, created from its own unique mold. Beautiful. Near fine. (F-). $44.
