96626L. (commemorative milk-cream pitcher). Highland Lighthouse, Cape Cod, Mass. c.1900. Superb deep blue on crème, featuring a close and detailed image of “Highland Light Cape Cod Mass.” on both sides. Pitcher features a large, nicely detailed image of the tall masonry light tower and attached keepers’ dwellings. Backmarked “Adams England Made for YeTown Crier Gift Shop, Provincetown, Mass.” A full 7″ tall, 7″ spout to handle – the largest that I have ever seen. Pitcher is clean and bright but has an early glue-repaired closed crack on one side, and an early closed “U” line at the base. Only very light crazing as is common for this type china. However it is still a beautiful piece and quite attractive, at an exceptionally low price. A similar piece without the crack sells in the $500 range. (VG-). $145.
