873. [plan] DESIGN FOR FLINNS [Flynn’s] KNOLL LIGHT, NEW YORK. October 1838.

  1. [plan] DESIGN FOR FLINNS [Flynn’s] KNOLL LIGHT, NEW YORK. October 1838. Large 19” x 24” printed chart, disbound from early report, details the foundation and base of masonry light tower for Flinns Knoll. The plan details the stone breakwater in several stages from its beginning to its completion including the brush platform upon which the foundation will sit. Includes sectional and plan views of the breakwater and tower base. A gale in 1841 would destroy all the work completed to that date and eventually a screw pile light would be considered for the site. With only very light original folds but will mount and frame well. Quite clean and crisp. (F-). $85 net.
