Fairly lengthy (8 column inches) article describes a dangerous incident and the resulting rescue involving former keeper Joseph L. Locke, new Keeper Captain Jedediah Rand, his daughter 13 year old Elizabeth Jane. In this incident she was thrown by a wave from a small boat. The account includes details of the incident and more on the rescue and involvement of Captain Frisbee of Kittery. Full newspaper contains four large pages with articles of the day, clean, two folds.
