I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of your letter of the 2nd inst. Accompanied by letters from W Nisgen & W Feeler on the subject of the appointment of the former as Keeper of o ne of the lights on the St. Lawrence. They shall have respectful attention when the appointments to the lights referred to are made.
