Report lists various observations and suggestions concerning lights, fog warning, etc. 14pp. H.R. No 838. SURVEYS OF SITES FOR LIGHT-HOUSES AND LIGHT-BOATS. June 4, 1842. Report remarks on a bill authorizing surveys and examinations of proposed sites for light-houses (HR #476).Also notes that rather than light-boats, the new screw-pile light-house be employed and proposes that a trial be made at Flynn’s Knoll near Sandy Hook. 1pp. Both $47
