Viewing postcards was a popular pastime in the early 20th Century, and this is one of over thirty five such 30-postcard sets that were published at the time. Contained in a mailable post-pack these are actual usable Phostint postcards by the Detroit Publishing Company. This set includes many of the light stations seen along the “trip” from Portland to Boston including: Boston Light, Spring Point Ledge Light, Eastern Point Light, Whaleback Light, Ram’s Ledge Light, Fort Point Light, Portland Head Light, The Graves Light, Boston Bug Light, Boone Island Light, Annisquam Light, White Island Light, Deer Island Light, as well as a number of scenic views along the way. Cards are nearly as new in lightly worn and soiled box. Other similar sets published at the time include “New York City”, “Notable Buildings and Bridges” and “The Quaker City”, etc. A rare chance to obtain this complete set. (VG+). $78.
