- Bundschuh, Scott Wayne. Great Lakes Lightships: “Keeping Watch from Green Bay through the Straits of Mackinac and into Lake Huron.” 2024. Self published. 384p. Soft wraps. Interesting presentation of a great deal of Great Lakes lightship history and information. The author notes: The stories in this new companion version to the author’s first eBook and softcover book Great Lakes Lightships that was published in 2020 titled: Lightships “Keeping Watch Over The Great Lakes” are solely based on some previously written newspaper stories that were published in the “Great Lakes Pilot Newspaper” from late 2020 through the end of 2023. Since their original publications or newly published stories from 2020 till the end of December 2023, the contents are new, the storylines are very different and even with the new facts in place the stores have taken on a life of their own. I can assure each of you the stories that I have brought back have been amended/updated for 2022/2023. As part of my second book on Great Lakes Lightships I have added even more information to the original stories and added several new stories that were published in the “Great Lakes Pilot Newspaper” from 2022 through the end of 2023. Illustrated with a few b/w photographs. (M). $29.95.
