33110. (souvenir coin) Lightship LV-605 by U.S. Lighthouse Society.

  1. (souvenir coin) Lightship LV-605 by U.S. Lighthouse Society. Commissioned in 1950, LV-605 served on Overfalls Station, Blunts Reef Station, and as Relief before being decommissioned in 1975 and later purchased by the U.S. Lighthouse Society then operating out of San Francisco. Beautiful coin shows Relief Lightship 605 on the obverse with the words “U.S. Lighthouse Society Ship Relief 605” around the perimeter. The reverse shows a masonry lighthouse with the words “The United States Lighthouse Society Established 1984” around the perimeter. Nicely mounted in a plastic case, this is a beautiful work of art. Measures 39mm (1 ½”). I don’t believe they are available any longer from the LH Society. (M). $44.
