- Diggs, Jeremiah. Cape Cod Pilot. Federal Writers Project W.P.A. Modern Pilgrim Press. 1937. 404p. Stiff wraps. Yellow cloth with brown lettering on the front board and spine. Illustrated endpapers and pastedowns. Illustrated with eight double-sided plates of black and white photographs. Federal Writer’s Project, Works Project Administration for the State of Massachusetts. Part of the American Guide Series. This volume sponsored by Poor Richard Associates. One of the American Guide Series, and if only they were all as good, or half as good…. Favorably reviewed in various directions, this deserves wider attention. Delightfully and breezily written, a good handbook and good armchair reading as well, this book has the salty tang of the Cape itself, and the feel of its traditions, and is a pathfinder to its surviving charms. Good American background material. A wonderful read. Some edge wear, soiling to wraps and spine. Contents clean, tight, very good. (VG). $20.
