Apparently once the property of one of the light keepers on Nantucket, this early text details all aspects of the construction and operation of early motor boats in use at the time, and indeed used by the Lighthouse Service as well. Subjects include boat classification and types, hull construction and design, motor boat fittings, boat operation and care, popular boat designs, operating principals of boat motors, power plants, installation of power plants, propelling devices, care and repair of motors, seaplanes and flying boats, and more.
