This book is a wonderful, turn-of-the-century foray into the history and lore of Rhode Island ‘s Narragansett Bay , the result of first-hand research and exploration by the author, Edgar Mayhew Bacon. In the Preface he writes: “The preparation of this study of Narragansett Bay has afforded a fascinating occupation for several years.
