  1. Young, Rosalind Amelia. MUTINY ON THE BOUNTY AND STORY OF PITCAIRN ISLAND 1790-1894. Auckland. 1924. Later printing. 303 p. While many books have been written on the history of Pitcairn Island , this work was composed by a native of the island and one who has spent practically her whole life there. Her father was the second oldest man in the community and was the grandson of John Adams, one of the mutineers of the Bounty. Thus she presents a rarely read view of the island life and the remarkable events that took place there. Nicely illustrated with photographs and engravings. Contents clean and tight, only lightly worn, lightly soiled and worn. (G+). $46.
