Welcome to Kenrick A. Claflin & Son

Featured on our web site and in our monthly web catalogues are new and out-of-print books, documents, post cards, photographs, maps and charts, engravings, lithographs, uniforms and insignia, tools, lamps, lens apparatus, equipment and apparatus and much more relating to these heroic services.

We now issue most of our catalogues on line rather than by mail. This allows us to issue more catalogues and feature more items, with better photos and descriptions. Let us know your email address and we will email you monthly as our catalogues are posted.

21376. [Coast Guardsman cover]

21376. [Coast Guardsman cover] Every Week Magazine. December 31, 1917. Full issue. Special full color cover shows an early Coastguardsman at see peering through his telescope, presumably at some distant vessel. Wonderful close view shows great detail of officer in his yellow slicker and his early uniform cap, and of the telescope itself which is rarely pictured. Cover accompanies an article by H. Addington Bruce entitled What Makes Men Brave. Superb image for illustration or for decoration. Full issue, a bit soiled and frayed about the edges but otherwise clean, flat and intact. (VG-). $38.
