This is the second and companion volume to Alice Rowe Snow’s Log Of A Sea Captain’s Daughter. Alice Rowe Snow was the daughter of a sea captain and mother to famed New England author Edward Rowe Snow. In this rare volume, Ms. Snow tells of her adventures on a four-year sea voyage on a sailing vessel in the 1880’s. Since she had no camera, she chronicled her voyage in her drawings, some of which are included here. Reading this wonderful sea account, with the signature, one can easily see where her son Edward came by his writing talent and his methods. With original dust jacket though somewhat chipped. Includes laid in 6 p. promotional announcement for book. Contents clean, tight, in very nice condition. Extremely rare in any form. (VG). $94 net.
