- (photo) Baltimore Harbor Lighthouse c.1923. Clear close press photo dated September 12, 1923 provides a wonderful view of the Baltimore Harbor caisson light tower. The Baltimore Harbor Light was first lit and sits at the mouth of the Magothy River. At the time of its construction it was the world’s tallest caisson lighthouse, and for a brief time in the 1960’s it was the world’s first nuclear powered lighthouse. The photo measures 8” x 10” and contains description on back. It was printed in the local newspapers in 1923 to accompany a story on the passing of the lighthouse Keeper. (VG). $48.
