27452b. (Victorian hat pin) U. S. Light House Establishment c.1870-1890. Period Victorian hat pin is only the second that I have found. This pin was probably owned by the wife of a light keeper and bears an original “U.S.L.H.E.” button. Button measures 1” and is backmarked “Browning King & Co.”. Pin is professionally made and dates to the period 1870-1890. Pin measures 10” long. This is a wonderful artifact of the period and a rarely found wife’s possession. (VG). $110.
