SQ-09. (sea bag) Original U.S. Coast Guard Canvas Sea Bag / Popeye Sailor Art c.1940-1980. Measures about 40” around by 34” long. Bag is stenciled for owner “GERMAINE, J.E. 662 014 USCG” in two places. In addition is a wonderful drawn image of the famous “Popeye the Sailor Man”. This is the second marking on this bag – behind this large bold lettering is an earlier set for the same sailor. Very good condition, intact, only light soiling. A wonderful example or Coast Guard sailor art. (VG+). $145.
