29247. (scrapbook) Barnstable and Cape Cod c.1950’s. Large scrapbook contains numerous clippings and mementos from the 1950’s of Cape Cod , its people and history. This is for a wonderful old scrap book. It is from 1953-1958. and has 58 pages full of items clipped from the local newspaper “The Barnstable Patriot Paper”. Clippings from columns include “My Beans”, ” Cape Cod ‘s Fragrant Past”, Political Issues” & “Obituaries”. The articles are full of memories from the present and past, including ship wrecks, Five Captain Nickersons, Old Chatham Light Houses, Brewster Ship Captains, Pioneer Cape Whalemen, ghost stories, tea troubles, dogs on the Mayflower, and loads of great Cape Cod .
