Clear, close, original 6 ½” x 8 ½” press photo shows excellent detail of the keeper’s house from Neds Point Lighthouse in Mattapoisett loaded aboard a barge for transport to be used as housing for the assistant keeper at its new location at Wings Neck Light Station in Pocasset. Neds Point Keeper Russell Eastman, whose position had been abolished by the installation of an automatic lighting system, can be seen standing on the barge to accompany the house to its new location. Photo is b/w and includes date and description on back. Taken on June 30, 1923. Clear, close view, great detail. (VG+). $74.
