Rare early press photo shows a very close detailed view of the Narcissus as she slides down the ways of the Mathis Shipbuilding Company in 1939. Note the large Lighthouse Service pennant flying from the topmast. The 122-foot lighthouse tender and her sister ship, the Zinnia, were launched the same day. The Narcissus was to be used in the Delaware River and Bay. Measures 7” x 9”. Quite clear and close, good condition. Rare view. (VG+). $54.
