13388b. (leggings) U.S. Coast Guard Leggings c.1943. Rare set of original WWII Coast Guard leggings. Leggings were of olive-drab cotton duck, Navy standard, and were worm with any form of dress when under arms for infantry drill or for duty with a landing party, when on patrol and during beach apparatus drill when rubber boots were not worn. These leggings are stenciled for H.N.W. Wangsness. No manufacturer’s mark. Leggings are complete with brass hooks and grommets, tie string and foot strap. Overall clean, very good condition.
