18107a. (hand colored photograph) Coziholm “Cozy Cottage” by Sawyer Photo Studio, Chatham c.1930. Beautiful hand colored photograph taken of scene along North Chatham’s Pleasant Bay shows a gravel Old Queen Anne Road between the rotary and Pond Street, passing a saltbox-style house known as “Coziholm” or “Cozy Cottage”, with Oyster Pond opposite. Harold T. Sawyer Photo and Art Shop of Chatham was a photographer who published black & white and tinted collotype view-cards of Chatham and Cape Cod, as well as hand-colored photos of Chatham and New England scenes. The image is stamped on the back “Sawyer [Photo Service], Chatham, Mass.”. Coloring is superb, without mat, quite nice. Photo size is 5 ¾” by 7 ¾”. Attached to black backing/album page. A wonderful piece of Chatham memorabilia. (VG+). $58.
