A wonderful chronicle of the author’s work and life as a surfman at the South Manitou Station. Filled with details of the day to day life at the station as well as at the South Island Lighthouse. This is one of the few true day-to-day accounts available from the men who manned the oars and walked patrol. Quite interesting, well worth reading. (VG+). $44.
