Clear, close, original 8” x 10” press copy photo shows excellent detail of the remains of the schooner Fortuna on the beach at Race Point. The schooner was driven ashore on February 12 with the loss of two men. The remaining crew was saved at great peril by the efforts of the Race Point and Peaked Hill Bars life-saving crews. Photo is b/w, made from glass slide of the period, and includes date and description on back. Dated 1894. Clear, close view, good detail. (VG+). $68.
