17122-2. (copy negative) U.S. Life-Saving – Coast Guard Station Potunk, Long Island, New York c.1915. Extremely rare photograph copy negative shows the Potunk station probably in the teens or early 1920’s. The Station was a Red-house style built in 1872 and expanded in 1887. The Potunk Station was still active in 1935, but was already inactive by the time of the 1938 Hurricane, when it was totally destroyed. Negative measures 4” x 5” and should produce a very good print. (VG+). $35.
