Chapter Three discusses the construction of the Yaquina Bay jetties. Chapter Four discusses the establishment and history of the U.S. Life Saving station at the former lighthouse facility. Includes extensive information on the construction, the keepers and men stationed there, the operation of the Light House Establishment, shipwrecks in the area, and much more.
